Pulling from over 40 years combined experience designing and fabricating successful projects in the furniture, robotics, events and construction industries, UNiT are uniquely placed to offer an end-to-end service, set up to consult and design from the very earliest stages of a project, and develop a solution all the way from concept through to production and onsite installation. Toby and Adam believe that the relationship between client, designer and fabricator is the key to a successful project.

 

BACKGROUND

After starting out as a furniture designer, Toby went onto spend a decade designing and managing a range of projects from small but very technical components vital to the working of motion controlled camera systems, to large scale automotive stands such as a 800 sq/m flagship space for Rolls Royce. Other clients have included Tiffanys, Land Sec, Samsung, Virgin, Tate & Lyle and Honda. With his extensive knowledge of the manufacturing industry he brings an ability to map out large complex products and spaces through 3D visualisations.

Adam has worked extensively in the construction industry, delivering large scale projects on time and on budget, surpassing client expectations with his attention to detail.  Having worked his way up from joiner and shop fitter to foreman and then project manager, he has an in - depth understanding of all aspects of construction, and hands on experience overcoming issues with design and access. For the last five years Adam has worked closely with local authorities to help deliver expansion projects within existing school buildings. Other key projects include high - end interior and residential spaces, hotels, the modernisation of listed church buildings and the nationwide roll out and re - brand of Fitness First.
